Indiana University Holds Three-Day ‘Sex Fest’ featuring BDSM Demos, Sex Toys, ‘Kink’ Workshop

Indiana University, the home of the Kinsey Institute that birthed the sexual revolution, held a three day long “Sex Fest” that featured a workshop on “kink,” sex toy tables and a woman being publicly whipped as part of a BDSM demonstration. Students who attend the school’s festival are given t-shirts that say “I love sex.”

Campus Reform obtained shocking photos and videos from the events, including the “kink workshop.” The photos they published show tables at the event full of whips, paddles dildos, and other sexual objects. “One table contained a flyer that listed different types of ‘nipple toys’ which included a ‘clothespin,’ ‘nipple pump,’ ‘nipple lasso,’ ‘magnetic clamp,’ ‘adjustable clamp,’ ‘clover clamp,’ ‘nipple tweezer,’ and ‘hand.’”

“Another flyer asked attendees to ‘circle things you know you want’ and to ‘cross out things you know you don’t want,’” Campus Reform reported. “Among the options to either circle or cross out in the ‘bondage’ category were ‘rope,’ ‘leather/cuffs,’ ‘cages,’ ‘collar/lead.’ In the ‘sensation play’ category, ‘electricity,’ ‘hair pulling,’ ‘scratching,’ ‘mind f$%#s,’ and ‘exhibitionism’ were among the options.”

A video posted to Twitter by an upset student also shows a woman in her underwear being whipped while tied up in a dorm hall.

The university has defended the event, saying that learning about BDSM safety has been requested by students.

“One of the topics most requested by students was how to practice BDSM safety,” Indiana University spokesperson Chuck Carney told Campus Reform. “Our public health researchers have found some evidence to suggest that people are engaging in a broader range of sexual activities and as a result, it is the IU Health Center’s mission to make sure they practice it safely, following the BDSM community’s principal tenets of ‘safe, sane, and consensual.’”

Carney also confirmed that the event is being paid for by the university, saying “…the money comes largely from grants and research funding, but also two student organizations.”

Indiana University canceled the final night of its three-day “Sex Fest,” due to the exposure created by Campus Reform.

Super Bowl LIV

This year FOX decided to ban pro-life ads and gun rights ads from their Super Bowl broadcast.

They were too controversial.

Pro-life advocates with the new Faces of Choice organization said they waited at least six months for an answer from FOX about their ad – and then were denied the opportunity to air their message during the Super Bowl.

But during the Super Bowl halftime show Jennifer Lopez and Shakira were flashing tongues and crotch shots on national TV. Jennifer Lopez flashed the Puerto Rican flag (US flag on the opposite side). Then flashed her crotch. Then grabbed her crotch.

And besides, they had a controversial message of their own they wanted to get out and it wasn’t conservative. Aside from the sexual exploitation from Shakira and J-Lo, the halftime show featured several children crawl out of cages as the song Born in the U.S.A. pulsated throughout the stadium.

Jennifer Lopez’s 11-year-old daughter, Emme Maribel Muniz, was one of the kids who crawled out of her cage and then joined her mother in singing. Emme also sang her mother’s hit song, Let’s Get Loud during the cage scene. “The other kids eventually joined Emme onstage and surrounded her as a backing choir, all in white sweatshirts with rhinestone American flags emblazoned across the front,” Billboard reported.

The display of children in cages, could be a reference to the Department of Homeland Security policy of separating children at the border from their parents and putting them in areas sectioned off by expanded metal fences – a policy created before President Trump although he is blamed for it.

“Lopez and Shakira were recruited for the show by Jay Z shortly after he announced he would be partnering with the NFL on social justice efforts and helping it ‘enhance’ its entertainment offerings last year,” the Hill reported“At the time, the league had been getting push back from numerous celebrities, like Rihanna and Cardi B, and fans who were upset with how former NFL player Colin Kaepernick was treated by the league following his on-field protests.” Jay-Z and Beyonce were seen sitting during the national anthem at the Super Bowl.

Evangelist Franklin Graham said he was disappointed in Pepsi and the NFL because the Super Bowl halftime performance “showed young girls that sexual exploitation of women is okay.”

Kansas City would defeat San Francisco 31-20, overcoming a 20-10 deficit with less than 7 minutes in the game.

NY Times Report: ‘Angels’ in Hell: The Culture of Misogyny Inside Victoria’s Secret

Victoria’s Secret defined femininity for millions of women. Its catalog and fashion shows were popular touchstones. For models, landing a spot as an “Angel” all but guaranteed international stardom.

But inside the company, two powerful men presided over an entrenched culture of misogyny, bullying and harassment, according to interviews with more than 30 current and former executives, employees, contractors and models, as well as court filings and other documents.

Ed Razek, for decades one of the top executives at L Brands, the parent company of Victoria’s Secret, was the subject of repeated complaints about inappropriate conduct. He tried to kiss models. He asked them to sit on his lap. He touched one’s crotch ahead of the 2018 Victoria’s Secret fashion show.

Executives said they had alerted Leslie Wexner, the billionaire founder and chief executive of L Brands, about his deputy’s pattern of behavior. Some women who complained faced retaliation. One model, Andi Muise, said Victoria’s Secret had stopped hiring her for its fashion shows after she rebuffed Mr. Razek’s advances.

A number of the brand’s models agreed to pose nude, often without being paid, for a prominent Victoria’s Secret photographer who later used some pictures in an expensive coffee-table book — an arrangement that made L Brands executives uncomfortable about women feeling pressured to take their clothes off.

The atmosphere was set at the top. Mr. Razek, the chief marketing officer, was perceived as Mr. Wexner’s proxy, leaving many employees with the impression he was invincible, according to current and former employees. On multiple occasions, Mr. Wexner himself was heard demeaning women.

Watching TV makes us prefer thinner women

The more TV we watch the more we prefer thinner female bodies, according to a new comprehensive study on body image.

The researchers are calling on TV and advertising bosses to show people of all shapes and sizes in order to reduce the pressure on women and girls to aspire to a ‘thin ideal body’.

The team, led by Durham University, worked with men and women from a number of villages in a remote area of Nicaragua in Central America who either had regular or hardly any TV access.

People with very limited access to TV preferred female figures with a higher Body Mass Index (BMI) whereas people who often watched TV preferred thinner bodies.

The villages in Nicaragua were selected because people were very similar in terms of their ecological constraints, such as nutrition, income and education, but had differing access to TV. This meant researchers were able to isolate the effect of TV exposure from the other factors.

The researchers say this is the best evidence to date that TV is having a causal effect on people’s perceptions of body ideals.

The findings, published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, show that TV exposure can have a powerful impact on what people perceive as the ideal body.

The representation of this ‘thin ideal’ in the media can lead to body dissatisfaction and can play a part in the development of eating disorders and depression.

Lead author of the research, Professor Lynda Boothroyd, from Durham University’s Psychology Department, said: “TV and advertising bosses have a moral responsibility to use actors, presenters and models of all shapes and sizes and avoid stigmatising larger bodies. There needs to be a shift towards a ‘health at every size’ attitude and the media has an important role to play in that.”

People in the villages in this part of Nicaragua generally did not have access to magazines or the Internet, and none of the participants in the study owned a smartphone. Only those people with electricity supplies to their homes as well as the money to pay for a TV and subscription were able to watch TV on a regular basis.

Those people with access to TV watched a mixture of Latin soap operas, Hollywood action movies, music videos, police “car chase” reality shows and the news.

Co-author, Dr Jean-Luc Jucker, from Durham University and University of the Autonomous Regions of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast, commented: “This study, utilizing a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods with non-Western participants, provides yet more empirical evidence that the mass media impact female body size ideals.”

299 men and women from seven villages in the Pearl Lagoon Basin area of Nicaragua took part in the research. They completed a questionnaire about their ethnicity, education, income, hunger, language and TV exposure. They were then asked to rate the attractiveness of pictures of female bodies with varying body shapes and sizes.

In addition to this study, the team also carried out another study among those villagers who had little or no TV access. Dr Tracey Thornborrow from the University of Lincoln, co-author and field researcher on the project, explains: “We showed the villagers a series of pictures, either showing larger women or thinner women. We found that after viewing these images, the villagers’ body ideals adjusted in the same direction.

“Our findings clearly demonstrate that perceptions of attractiveness are highly changeable, and are affected by what we are visually exposed to.”

Professor Boothroyd has previously found the same effect in women in Western societies but this effect had never been tested outside industrialised societies before.

Being able to show that perceptions of attractiveness are this changeable in even ‘media naïve’ participants is a major step forward in our understanding of cultural variation, according to the researchers. “If there’s something that’s universal about attraction, it is how flexible it is,” Professor Boothroyd added.

The research was conducted with colleagues from the University of the Autonomous Regions of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast, University of Lincoln, Newcastle University and University of East London. It was funded by the Leverhulme Trust.

Parents Protest as Texas School Approves Polarizing Sex-ed Curriculum Teaching ‘Gender Identity’

A new sex-education curriculum will teach children in Austin, Texas about sexual orientation, as well as how to use prophylactics. Parents say the initiative encourages kids to engage in unhealthy and dangerous sexual activity.

Austin Independent School District’s board unanimously approved the new course material on Tuesday. The curriculum, which spans grades three through eight, will touch upon gender identity – a first for the district. Seventh graders (12-year-olds) will also learn about how to correctly use a condom. Proponents of the new guidelines said that it’s important to foster “healthy communication” about sex and relationships, as well as to reaffirm the district’s support for the LGBTQ community.

Plenty of parents were less than thrilled about the new changes, however.

“[The curriculum] encourages minor children to engage in vaginal, oral, and anal sexual activity through the comprehensive sex ed they’re voting on,” Carol Ayala, the director of Concerned Parents of Texas, told local media.

Others expressed fears that focusing on gender identity at such a young age would be detrimental to children who barely understand their own biology.

Demonstrations both for and against the curriculum were held outside the board meeting. A group of parents opposed to the course material were countered by a trans woman who shouted “trans lives matter” as she was hauled off by police.

The district says that parents will have the chance to opt out of the sex-ed curriculum lessons for their children. The new curriculum could be in place as early as May 2020.
